Recording video footage as a conference or tradeshow combines business networking and meeting interesting new people. But how do you weave that into an interesting and useful video that a sponsor can use for their own marketing purposes? By letting the video tell its own story.
When I was invited to join the team at AgencyCon in Breckenridge, Colorado in October, 2018, one of my goals was to create an interesting attendee video for promotion of the subsequent event. Here’s how it came out:
The video isn’t about the conference, however, it’s about the attendee experience. So almost all footage is people talking. Not only that, but remember that attendees could be presented in any order; go back and look at who is on camera based on age, gender, ethnicity, etc. One goal was to demonstrate the diversity of attendees.
Speakers and sponsors were also captured on camera for various other purposes, producing over 300GB of raw footage.
